Mitch Beer is a bassist, producer, educator, and recording studio owner whose work spans live performance, major-label releases, and daily insight into surviving the modern music industry.
His credits include producing and playing bass on Lil Uzi Vert’s Billboard #1 and Platinum certified Album Pink Tape (“CS”), Tierra Whack’s World Wide Whack, and engineering on Phony Ppl’s “Fkn Around” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. He has toured nationally and internationally with Digable Planets and The Bacon Brothers, and he serves as the studio bass player for 9-time Grammy winner Joe “The Butcher” Nicolo. Mitch owns and operates the Retro City B Room, a studio trusted by Grammy-winning and platinum-certified artists and producers.
Beyond record-making, Mitch builds platforms that help young and emerging musicians understand how the industry works. He co-founded and co-hosts Asses in Seats, a live, interactive music-industry talk show supporting MusiCares and NIVF. He is a board member of the Music Media Collective, whose mission is to support the music media landscape and the people that write about the music. He joined Abington Senior High School’s M3 Program in 2024 as a music industry and performance coach, where he also leads Mast3rtalks—live interviews with industry professionals recorded by students. Online, Mitch has grown his Music Industry Survival Guide series to more than 18,500 followers, posting daily for over 1,000 consecutive days and reaching millions of viewers through viral reels.
